He is included in the Rhode Island Attorney General’s March 2026 report on clergy sexual abuse in the Diocese of Providence but is not included on the Diocese’s list of credibly accused clergy. He died in 2017.

Father Paul Reynolds History of Sexual Abuse
- According to the Rhode Island Attorney General’s Appendix A report, Father Paul Reynolds allegedly sexually abused multiple altar boys while serving at St. Lawrence Parish in North Providence in the 1970s.
In 1974, Reynolds allegedly touched a nine-year-old boy’s lips with his penis. In 1976 or 1977, Reynolds allegedly constantly groped and forced an eight- or nine-year old to perform oral sex. Both victims sued the Diocese.
In 1975, he allegedly attempted to pull down a ten-year-old boy’s pants. Reynolds was kept in ministry despite this report.
