Dr. Howard Saal’s History of Sexual Abuse
- In August 2025, Dr. Howard M. Saal, a former geneticist and dysmorphologist at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital in Ohio, was charged with allegedly transporting and possessing child pornography.
The FBI reportedly found over 153,000 images and 470 videos of child sexual abuse material.
According to a lawsuit filed, Dr. Saal allegedly took nude photos of children during medical exams.
He was also accused of touching children’s private parts during exams when they were not medically necessary.
According to one parent, Dr. Saal also allegedly coerced a 14-year-old patient to send him explicit photos and videos on Snapchat.
In August 2026, a lawsuit was filed in Hamilton County Common Pleas Court against Dr. Saal and Cincinnati Children’s Hospital on behalf of 50 former patients — 38 children and 12 adults — alleging Saal sexually abused patients and took medically unnecessary photos of children.
The lawsuit alleged the hospital failed to implement safeguards and that hospital staff who raised concerns about his conduct were not properly investigated.
