Katelyn (KJ) Colman is an Associate Attorney at Levy Konigsberg LLP, where she specializes in litigation on behalf of survivors of sexual abuse. 

Prior to joining Levy Konigsberg, Katelyn spent more than four years as an Assistant District Attorney with the New York County District Attorney’s Office, where she handled a wide array of cases from inception to verdict. As a prosecutor, Katelyn conducted jury trials in New York Supreme Court and Criminal Court involving sex crimes, complex intimate partner violence, and other violent felonies. 

Katelyn earned her J.D., cum laude, from Fordham University School of Law, where she served as Editor-in-Chief of the Brendan Moore Trial Advocacy Center. She was also a member of Fordham Law’s Moot Court team and the International Law Journal. In 2020, Katelyn received the New York Trial Lawyers’ Alliance Trial Advocacy Award. Upon graduation, she was awarded the Abraham Abramovsky Award in recognition of her outstanding performance in trial advocacy. 

Katelyn received her B.A., magna cum laude, from Colgate University, where she graduated with honors. She currently serves as an Adjunct Professor of Trial Advocacy at Fordham Law School. 

Katelyn has dedicated her career to advocating on behalf of survivors of sexual and gender-based violence. 

She is licensed to practice in New York.
