Meet Jacob Jordan: An Experienced Litigator Taking On Corporate Giants and Championing Civil Rights Causes

Jacob joined Levy Konigsberg in 2022, bringing with him ten years of litigation experience, having first clerked for Chief United States District Judge Michael P. Mills, and then joining a prominent Mississippi law firm where his practice centered primarily on civil rights and personal injury litigation.
Jacob is currently engaged in the prosecution of product liability claims against Johnson & Johnson arising from its decades-long coverup of asbestos contamination in its talcum powder products. Jacob has joined the trial team in the case of Stephen and Kendra Lanzo in the Superior Court of New Jersey, Middlesex County, which is set for retrial in January. Previously, a Middlesex County jury issued a verdict in the amount of $117,000,000.00 to Mr. and Mrs. Lanzo. Recently, Jacob led the effort in proceedings before The Honorable Joel Schneider in securing the production of several internal corporate documents dating back to the 1960s which Johnson & Johnson claimed to be privileged.
When Jacob first joined Levy Konigsberg, he served as one of the primary authors of extensive briefing which Levy Konigsberg filed in federal court on behalf of thousands of children poisoned by lead-contaminated drinking water in the City of Jackson, Mississippi. The litigation remains pending and these efforts ultimately resulted in District Judge Carlton Reeves’ lyrical opinion rejecting the City of Jackson’s efforts to dismiss the case.
Jacob obtained an important ruling in another Mississippi federal court earlier this year involving the untimely death of Robert Loggins in police custody at the Grenada County Jail. Judge Sharion Aycock issued an extensive opinion denying qualified immunity to five police officers and denying all other Defendants’ motions to dismiss.
